Welcome To
Mad Terrorist Press

"you're welcome."

MTP was created in 1994 by Jose Garibaldi (as a sixteen year old 11th grade student) out of a desire to create comics that fell outside his usual superhero crud. Attempting to gather his fellow students for a comix anthology titled "A-Bomb Comix"( clever title, ennit?). Mad Terrorist Press was the name chosen to represent this comic (which never saw the light of day). Finding difficulties in acquiring stories from his peers (too busy doing high school type shit), Jose self published his own comics under MTP.

In the summer of 1995, Obsess number one kicked off MTP's original run, which included Hab Deluxe, Wesley Willis and Uncle Schlomo's Cartoon Bonanza (see the MTP Classik page for more info) Publishing halted while Jose got his shit together. He has yet to do so ...

Discouraged by missed opportunities and disillusioned with the comics "industry", Jose focused his efforts on his illustration work. For the next four years Jose created T-shirt designs, spot illustrations and animation. In 1999 he landed a job creating graphics and animation for JRL Enterprises' "I Can Learn" series of educational software (where he remains today).Working at JRL provided Jose with the knowledge necessary to create computer graphics and web sites.

Now, in 2002, MTP returns. Setting up www.madterroristpress.com creates an outlet for new and experimental comics. Current work is being posted at http://www.madterroristpress/mtp.html. The new MTP already features new work by Garibaldi, Scott Ruhl, Dave Crosland, and "The Eggplant" Stan Wenches, with bunches and bunches of new works by a variety of artistes.
